Struggling to Plan Your Japan Trip Properly?

Work with a Japan Travel Planner for a smoother, well-designed trip

Group tours are rigid and rushed.
Planning your own Japan trip takes time and energy.

Balancing different needs across the family is challenging.
Figuring out the route, timing, and logistics is exhausting.

Getting it right takes more than just research.  It takes experience.
That’s where working with a Japan travel planner makes the difference.

You share what you want from the trip,
and I structure the route, pacing, and logistics so everything works together.

You don’t have to spend 30 to 40 hours planning it together yourself.

All you need to do is show up and enjoy the trip.

Share your plans and I’ll review if it’s a good fit

Who Is This For

For families who prefer to work with a Japan travel planner or a Japan trip planner rather than figure everything out themselves.

They like the idea of a private trip,
but don’t have the time, the expertise or patience to plan everything themselves.

Most already have a rough idea of what they want.

They just need someone who understands Japan to put it together properly and make it work.

I’m Best, the travel designer behind Epic Travel Designer.

I work with families and multi-generation travellers who prefer to custom their Japan trip.

How Your Trip Comes Together

Every family travels differently.

It’s not just about where to go.
It’s about getting the balance right so the trip works for everyone.

In Japan, logistics matter more than people expect.

As a Japan travel planner, I start by understanding your family.

From there, I design the experiences, build the route, and connect everything together
so the journey moves naturally from start to finish.

How you move between places, how the route is structured, and how the pacing is planned across the trip all matter.

If this is not thought through intentionally, the journey becomes tiring very quickly.

When we ran into issues overseas, the prompt support really helped ease the anxiety.”

Share your travel plans to get started

If you’ve read this far, you’re likely at a stage where planning your Japan trip is starting to feel more complex than expected.

Most of my clients come to me at exactly this point.

They’ve done the research and have ideas in mind, but putting everything together into a smooth, well-paced journey is where it becomes challenging.

That’s where working with a Japan travel planner makes the difference.

If that sounds like where you are now, the next step is simply to have a short conversation to explore what’s possible for your trip.

From there, I’ll guide  you through how your journey can be structured.

Designing a Journey That Works

I’ve been designing Japan journeys for close to a decade, working with hundreds of clients, each with different travel styles, expectations, and pace.

No two itineraries are identical.
Every journey is designed from scratch, based on how you like to travel and what you want from the experience.

Most trips involve more than just moving between cities.
They require carefully combining different modes of transport, from shinkansen and regional trains to ferries, self-drive routes, and private transfers, in a way that feels seamless rather than rushed.

Beyond logistics, the experience itself matters.

From ryokans with views and in-room kaiseki dinners, to quiet temple stays, tea ceremonies, and time spent in lesser-known towns, each part of the journey is chosen to reflect a more considered and immersive side of Japan.

Travel Proposal

Most clients reach out first to get clarity on their trip before deciding on the next step.  Once we’ve discussed your trip and aligned on the direction, travel design begins with a proposal fee, starting from SGD750 depending on the complexity of the trip.

This is where the structure of your journey is carefully thought through before any bookings are made.

When you receive the proposal, you’ll have a clear view of:

  • how your route is planned and connected
  • how the pacing works across the trip
  • how different experiences come together as a whole

This ensures your journey is designed properly before committing to any arrangements.

Each trip is planned from scratch, based on how you like to travel.
There are no templates or standard packages.
