We take the ideas you bring us and work out how your journey should come together, from the destinations and routing to the pace, logistics and key experiences along the way.

WE START WITH YOU
We don’t begin with a tour package or an itinerary we’ve designed before.
We start by understanding:
- Who is travelling
- Where you'd like to go
- What you enjoy and what you don't
- How you like to travel, whether that's self-drive, trains, private transfers, escorted touring or a combination of different transport
- How quickly or slowly you like to travel
- Your accommodation preferences
- Your mobility or other practical requirements
- The experiences that matter to you
- Your priorities for the journey
How you like to travel matters because it can change the entire design.
A journey built around trains may follow a very different route from one designed for self-driving. A journey combining public transport with private transfers creates another set of possibilities.
We take all of this into consideration before we start putting the journey together.
Then we start with a blank page.
In more than a decade of designing holidays, we have never created exactly the same itinerary for two groups.
Because the journey should fit the people taking it.
THEN WE SOLVE THE JOURNEY
Travel design is about much more than deciding which attractions to visit.
We look at how the whole journey fits together.
Which destinations make sense?
What order should you visit them in?
How many nights should you spend in each place?
Are you trying to do too much?
Should you drive, take the train, use a private transfer or combine different ways of travelling?
Where should you stay so you’re not wasting time travelling backwards and forwards every day?
Are there experiences that need to be planned around particular days, seasons or availability?
We also think ahead about experiences where availability can affect the itinerary.
Popular attractions, performances and experiences may require advance tickets and can sell out. Where appropriate, we plan around the dates when they are available and assist with securing the necessary tickets during the travel planning stage.
And sometimes the solution isn’t simply getting a ticket.
Perhaps the experience you want doesn’t operate on a Sunday. Instead of telling you it can’t be done, we may restructure the days around it, moving another activity to Sunday and keeping the experience you wanted for a day when it is available.
It’s one reason we often prefer giving a destination enough time rather than designing a journey where every base has only one possible day for everything to work.
Good travel design creates options.
And sometimes the most important part of our job is recognising when something that looks perfectly reasonable on a map probably won’t work very well once you’re actually travelling.
We use our experience to turn the different pieces into one journey that makes sense.

YOUR TRAVEL DESIGN PROPOSAL
Once we’ve worked through the journey, we’ll present our proposed travel design to you.
Your proposal sets out the overall structure of your holiday, including:
- The destinations and route
- Number of nights in each place
- Recommended travel flow
- Proposed transport between destinations
- Key experiences and activities
- The style and level of accommodation proposed
- Important logistical considerations
- The overall tour fare if you engage Epic Travel Designer to arrange the journey
We’ll also explain the thinking behind the design so you understand why we’ve recommended the journey in that particular way.
WHY WE DON'T PROVIDE SAMPLE ITINERARIES
Clients sometimes ask to see a sample itinerary before engaging us.
We don’t provide them.
Not because our itineraries are secret.
But because the itinerary we designed for another client was created around their interests, pace, family, priorities and circumstances.
It isn’t an example of what we would design for you.
Your Travel Design Proposal is the first time you see the journey we’ve designed specifically around you.
YOUR INVESTMENT
From SGD 750 Per Group
The Travel Design Proposal Fee covers the professional work involved in researching, thinking through and designing your journey.
The fee is paid upfront before we begin the travel design process.
If you decide to engage Epic Travel Designer for Custom Travel Planning after receiving your proposal, the full Travel Design Proposal Fee will be credited as part of your final tour fare.
If you decide not to proceed with Custom Travel Planning, the Travel Design Proposal Fee is non-refundable as the travel design service has already been completed.
You’re not paying a fee simply to receive a quotation. You’re engaging us to design your journey.

Once you’ve received your Travel Design Proposal, the choice is yours.

If you enjoy making your own travel arrangements, you can use the Travel Design Proposal as the foundation for your journey and arrange the individual components yourself.
Or We Can Make It Happen
If you’re happy with the Travel Design Proposal and would rather have us take care of the detailed planning and travel arrangements, you can engage Epic Travel Designer for Custom Travel Planning.
We’ll then develop the journey in detail and arrange the accommodation, transport, transfers, activities, guides, tickets and other travel services required to bring it together.
WHAT ISN'T INCLUDED AT THE DESIGN STAGE?
The Travel Design Proposal establishes the journey and how it should work.
It isn’t yet your final day-by-day travel itinerary.
Detailed hotel selection, final scheduling, confirmed reservations, booking references and the practical information you’ll need while travelling are developed during Custom Travel Planning if you engage us to arrange your holiday.
This separation allows us to solve the journey first before moving into the considerable work of arranging every individual component.
WHO IS TRAVEL DESIGN FOR?
